Back of Soloman Freese photo above when pulled out of wooden case. Has IRS 5cent tax stamp with the date Sept 1864 on it. That would make him about 46 years old if born in 1818. If he was born 1829 then he was 35 at the time of the photo which seems more reasonable.
I wonder if the five cents paid for all five of these photos at the same time? Marietta was born in 1864 so the small child below could be her. Obviously not all the photos were take at the same time since there are two versions of Soloman.
