information
about the Kleckner and Levengood family which I can send you later. I
hope
to get a little more)

Looks like Adam Kleckner is the brother of Elizabeth. -SJT
ADAM M. KLECKNER was born in Carroll County, Ohio, April 6, 1840,
and is
the youngest of the five children born to Michael and Mary (Levengood)
Kleckner,
viz., Lavina, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jacob and Adam. The father was born in
Pennsylvania in 1800, came when young to Ohio with his parents, became
a
hatter, at which trade he worked about ten years, and then became a
farmer.
He came to Monterey in 1847, served several years as Township Trustee,
and
also as County Commissioner, and died in 1866. Adam came here with his
father,
and here grew up among the first settlers. He was married September 18,
1864,
to Ruth Miller, who bore him three children - Cora, Della and Berton.
In
1865, he moved to Fulton County, Ind., and there Mrs. Kleckner died in
February,
1879, a devout Christian, and greatly mourned by all. In 1881, he
returned
to Pulaski, and now owns a fine farm of 224 acres, one mile and a
quarter
west of Monterey. He also owns eighty acres in Fulton County. His chief
attention
is given to general crops, but he also rears stock to some extent.

Some news on Lavengood of Indiana. Could find no relation of
this Lavengood
with Michael and Mary Lavengood, but it does mention another name,
Lagengood,
which might be worth looking into.

Monday, June 27, 1910 A most horrible death was that which
befell
Zadock LAVENGOOD a prominent farmer of Perry township, Miami county,
Friday
afternoon, who was kicked and dragged to death by his mules. No one
knows
just at what time in the afternoon the accident occurred, and the first
that
anyone knew of the tragedy was between 4:30 and 5 o’clock, when the
dead body of Mr. Lavengood was found in a field a short distance from
his
home. The grewsome find was made by Albert [WARREN], the 10 year old
son
of D. E. WARREN, who quickly reported to his father. The latter
notified
the neighbors as quickly as possible and the remains were removed to
the
Lagengood home.
A site about Virginia Kleckner,
the first child born to Lowell and Margaret (Hartman) Kleckner, living
in Indiana in 1934. Not quite sure where they fit in.
