Richard Womack was born Abt. 1655 in Henrico County, Virginia, and died Bef. April 25, 1684 in Henrico County, Virginia. He married Mary Elizabeth Ruth Puckettin Abt. 1675 in Henrico County, Virginia, daughter of John Puckett and Ann Jefferys. He had the son: Richard received a patent for 450 acres of land in Henrico Co., March 15, 1672. This land lays on the North side of the Appomattox River adjoining Aspen Swamp. Richard, a trader with the Indians, was killed probably by the Seneca Indians while returning from a trip to the interior. After Richards death Mary married John Granger sometime around the 1st of April 1690. He had the son: Richard Womack , Jr.in was born Abt. 1676 in Henrico County, Virginia, and died Bef. March 1722/23 in Henrico County, Virginia. He married b Elizabeth Ann Puckett Abt. 1707, daughter of William Puckett and Anne Womack. |

Richard Womack III: Lived in Henrico County, later moved to Amelia County, then to Lunenburg County, from there he moved to North Carolina. In about 1765 he move to Burk County, Georgia. James Archdeacon Cody III was born at Thomastown, County Kilkenny, Ireland. James resided in Ireland until about 1730, when he came to America, and tradition says he settled on the James River in Virginia. Later he moved to Halifax County, and still later to Halifax County in North Carolina.
Edward O'Connell, town Clerk, Kilkenny City, Ireland, on October 4, 1920 wrote that James Cody was from the town of Roseroe, a town in the Parish of Inistioge, at the back of Saddle Hill, and about one and a half miles south of the Chapel of Mong. (Lumpkin Lore, p. 57.)
Had the children Mary, Aisle, Jacob, Edmund, John, Jesse, Richard, Michael, David, all of whom were born in Halifax Co. Va.
Sarah Womack was also born Halifax Co. Va
Sarah was buried in Warren County, Georgia in 1795
