This passage was found at: http://members.tripod.com/~debmurray/pulaski/pulbioref-13.htm

"(Jonas Kelsey was) born in Perry County in 1810; he has chiefly farmed, but in 1849 he went to Huntington County, Ind., where he was engaged subsequently in merchandising, from 1865 to 1875. He has always been an active worker in the Methodist Church, and is now living in retirement in Huntington County."

From "Counties of White and Pulaski Counties, Indiana - Tippecanoe Township" by F.A. Battey & Co. - published in 1883

From: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohperry/cem004.htm (results of a search for Perry Co OH) There is a tombstone from Harvey Chapel Cemetery also known as Black's Meeting House or Crossroads Meeting House Cemetery" "located approximately 3.5 miles northwest of Junction City on Perry County Route 8", that reads: "Sarah Elder, wife of Jonas Kelsey - died October 2, 1840, aged 26 years, 8 months and 8 days.". This would mean a birth date of Feb 22, 1814. There are several other tombstones with the Elder name. There were no Kelsey names other than this one. -Scott Thomas

There is an Enos Kelsey mentioned as an early pioneer of Jackson Township, Perry Co, OH in the Perry County web site (http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~tfisher/fairfield_perry_history.htm).
