Reuben LONG's father Lemuel LONG was born 12 July 1727 at Coventry, Windham, Connecticut, son of Joseph LONG & Sarah EVARTS. He married Martha BREWSTER 11 Apr 1750 at Coventry. He died 3 July 1810 at Coventry. I found a website online that gives his burial place: Carpenter Cemetery, Silver Street, North Coventry, Tolland County, CT. On his headstone is this epitaph: "In God's own arms he /left the breath /That God's own Spirit /gave."

The first LEMUEL LONG's wife, Martha BREWSTER, was christened 6 June 1731 at Lebanon, New London County, Connecticut, daughter of Peter BREWSTER & Mary LEE.

Peter BREWSTER b. 17 Feb 1706 Norwich, New London, Connecticut, married Mary LEE on 18 Feb 1730 at Lebanon, New London, CT. Died 27 Jan 1802 Coventry, Tolland, CT. Buried at South Street Cemetery, North Coventry, Tolland, CT. Mary LEE b. 19 Dec 1713 Lebanon, New London, CT. died 17 Sep 1784, buried next to her husband.

Peter BREWSTER's parents were William BREWSTER (b. 22 Mar 1669 at Norwich, New London, CT) & Patience REED (b. Sep 1672 at Norwich, New London, CT). They were married 8 June 1692 at Norwich. William BREWSTER died 11 Aug 1728 at Lebanon, New London, Connecticut.

William BREWSTER's parents were Benjamin BREWSTER & Ann ADDIS. Benjamin's parents were Johnathan BREWSTER & Lucretia OLDHAM. Johnathan's parents were (Rev.) William BREWSTER & Mary WENTWORTH. This William BREWSTER was the famous Mayflower pilgrim and religious leader of Plymouth colony.

Lemuel LONG (b. 12 July 1727 Coventry, CT) was the son of Joseph LONG and Sarah EVARTS.

Joseph LONG (b. abt 1693 Coventry, CT) was the son of Joseph LONG Sr. and Martha SMITH. Joseph LONG Sr. (b. 22 Jan 1667 in Hartford, CT) was the son of Thomas LONG and Sarah WILCOX. Thomas LONG (b. abt. 1644 in Dorchester, MA, d. 8 Nov 1711 in East Windsor, CT) was the son of Joseph LONG or LONGE, who was b. in England abt. 1605, emigrated to Dorchester, Mass., and married Mary LANE.
