Ray Leroy Johnson was born 8-5-1902 in Crowley, LA.

Ray Johnson ran away from home before W.W.I. and joined the navy.

Born Sept 30, 1927. Married Rosemary Jeffery. They are retired and live in Phoenix. Info on four children from Johnson 1999 reunion book:
a) Christine Ann (Johnson) Liebering. Married to Jan Liebering. Two children - Nicole Joy and Courtney Michelle.10 grandchildren.
b) Mary Catherine (Johnson) Stapley. Married to Rick Dtapley. Two children from 1st marriage:Joshua Troy Garrison and Jared Richard Garrison. Stepmother to Bryce Stapley.
c) Ray Leroy Johnson II. Married to Deborah Kaye Raisins. One child - Richard Lloyd Johnson II.
d) Michael Gerard Johnson. Married to Kimberly Judd. One child - Ryan Alan Johnson. Three step children - Chad, Lacey, and Chelsea.
Rosemary died at 6.40 PM Tue 2/17/2009 All her children and grand and great grand children were there. She was in a nursing home at that time. According to Chris (a R.N.) she died of pneumonia. She had lots of other problems and probably just wasn't strong enough to fight pneumonia. According to her family she was cheerful at the end. She was cheerful the last time I talked to her. She had four children, three living in the Phoenix are and one in Florida.
